Complete Sentences A complete sentence is a group of words that has a complete thought. It must have a subject and a verb. Which sentence below is not a complete sentence? I remembered to proofread my paper before handing it in to my teacher. Molly told me that her teacher gave her an A on her science project. Lots of homework. What is your favorite activity to do after school?

Correct Punctuation At the end of each sentence correct punctuation is needed to support your sentence. Use a question mark (?) after asking a question. Use a period (.) at the end of a statement or command. Use an exclamation point (!) at the end of a sentence to show strong feelings, a command, or something surprising.
