swooned If you had a terrible shock or surprise that made you faint or fall, you might have swooned. My brother , Gianni will swoon if I make him scared.

astonished When you are amazed and surprised by something, you are astonished. When my pug comes in my room, I am astonished. She brightens up my day.

envious If you feel envious you want something that someone else has. I am envious when I want to get Rilie’s tablet.

rivalry People who compete are in a rivalry. I compete in a hip hop rivalry during dance class.

encouraging Something you say that makes a friend feel good is encouraging. I am encouraging her when I tell Rilie that she did something good.

brief If something is brief it does not take much time. When I go to dance class, it takes a brief time to get there.

chuckling If you are chuckling , you are laughing to yourself . I chuckled when I read a funny book.

soothing Something that is soothing makes you calm. When I need to calm down, I put on some soothing music.

sobbed Someone who sobbed cried very hard. I sobbed when I went to kindergarten.

praised If you praised someone you told that person that he or she did something well. Rilie praised me when I got an A+ on my spelling test.
