COMPUTER AIDED DRAWING Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) packages allow us to create complex orthographic and pictorial drawings with precise detail and accuracy. SPREADSHEETS A Spreadsheet is a type of package which is particularly good for storing data in. It is a large grid onto which we can keep tables, charts, statistics and other information. WORD PROCESSING A Word Processing package allows us to type information, stories, news etc. onto a page. The package has many features to make the typing attractive and eye catching, e.g. bold, italic, colour, justification etc. An example of a Word Processing package would be Microsoft Word or ClarisWorks.
