Publisher is a Microsoft based package used to design and create documents such as leaflets, menus, business cards and any other types of publications.

Publisher offers templates and other tools to help you create a variety of publications such as brochures, menus, business cards and more

Microsoft Publisher has many of the basic functions similar to those of Microsoft Word. You can change the texts font, size and style. Publisher also allows you to insert WordArt, Images, ClipArt and a large range of shapes including 3D and 2D.

Publisher has what is known as the ribbon. This contains multiple tabs with several groups of commands inside them.

Publisher also offers a number of viewing tools to help you control the layout of your text, images and objects on the page. The tools that are available are rulers, baselines, boundaries and guides.

You can use rulers to help you line up your text, images and other objects to get a clearer idea of where they will appear on the page.

Baselines help you line up your text and keep them in straight lines.

Boundaries are blue lines that help you to line up images or wrap text.

Guides are thin lines that help you align your objects. There are two types of guides margin guides and customisable guides.
