Three facts about each one

Great pyramid of Giza

1. The Great Pyramid of Giza is also called Khufus Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu. 2. This Pyramid was the tallest man made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. 3. There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid, the lowest chamber,was un finished. 4. at the top of the Pyramid there is chambers that belong to a queen and king.

Hanging Garden of Babylon

 one of the most important cities of the ancient world, whose location today is marked by a broad area of ruins just east of the Euphrates River.  The garden was built in the 6th centenary before Christ.  The hanging gardens are said to have been built in the sixth century by Nebuchadnezzar for his wife.

 The Statue of Zeus at Olympia was one of the classic Seven Wonders of the ancient world. It was made by the famous Greek sculptor of the Classical period  The statue of Zeus at Olympia had gold, ebony, and precious stones on it. The temple was also known as Zeus’s home  the temple was Over 40 feet in height, Zeus was too large to fit in the temple if he stood up

Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

1. The Temple of Artemis, also known as Temple of Diana, was a temple dedicated to Artemis completed in its most famous phase, around 550 before Christ at Ephesus. 2. There are no leftovers from the Temple of Artemis. 3. the Temple of Artemis was destroyed at least seven times and rebuilt just as many times.

Great pyramid of Giza 1111. The Egyptian Pyramids. They are the oldest of all the seven wonders and the only one that has survived.

Hanging Garden of Babylon  2. The gardens were destroyed by several earthquakes after the 2nd century BC.

Statue of Zeus at Olympia  3.The statue of Zeus at Olympia. A 30 foot high statue of the supreme greek god. It was made of wood and covered with gold and ivory. Designed in the 5th century by Phidias, an Athenian sculptor. Destroyed by fire in 475 AD.

Temple of Artemis at Ephesus  4. In the seventh century the old temple was destroyed by a flood. Around 550 BC (Before Christ), so they started to build the "new" temple, known as one of the miracles of the ancient world.

Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus  5. The tomb remained relatively undamaged until the 13th century when the upper portions were damaged by an earthquake. In 1494, the Knights of St. John used the remainder of it in order to fortify their castle at Bodrum.

Colossus of Rhodes  6. Another of Alexander's generals, Antigonus, was upset by this turn of events. In 305 BC he had his son Demetrius (now a famous general on his own) invade Rhodes with an army of 40,000. However, the city was well defended, and Demetrius had to start construction of a number of massive siege towers in order to gain access to the walls

Lighthouse of Alexandria  7. The Pharos of Alexandria. The world's first known lighthouse, it stood 400 feet high and had a spiral ramp leading to it's beacon. Built in 280 BC on the island of Pharos, at the entrance to the Alexandria Harbor in Egypt. By the 15th century it had fallen to ruin.
