Objectives Define Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Discover what MPI is doing to inspire, inform, activate, measure and celebrate around CSR Share next practices with chapters that have already implemented CSR into their communities Brainstorm tools and ideas to help you bring CSR to life in your chapter

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept whereby organizations consider the long-term interests of the communities in which they operate and take responsibility for the impact of their actions on employees, customers/members, the community and the environment.

CSR activities are often referred to as being in three different but connected realms: People Planet Profit This is known as the “triple bottom line”

Ethics: It is the right thing to do Brand Enhancement: Better brand reputation Public Expectations: The public has higher expectations of the responsibilities of business to create social benefits The War for Talent: more attractive to existing and new employees Risk Reduction: Risk management through transparency of activities Value: The creation of value and competitive advantage Sustainability: Environmental measures can often increase business sustainability and cut costs Why CSR is Good for Business

MPI CSR Task Force Vision Unite the MPI community in a shared vision and commitment to a sustainable, just and profitable future.
