Trips Badia’s Abbey Trips in program Giffoni

We went to the Benedictine abbey by bus. We entered the church and the guide told us about the origins and the history of the abbey. We visited it and the tour was very interesting. At thirteen ‘o clock we returned home. It was a very enjoyable trip and I liked it very much. HISTORY The founder of the abbey was S.Alferio, noble ambassador of the Prince of Salerno Guaimario- III. In 1011 he went to live in the big cave "Arsicia"as a hermit.The abbey was built on this cave in Badia, a village near Cava.

We went to Giffoni by bus and we saw “L’Avaro”.Then we had lunch and we played in a big lawn. We returned into the cinema and we watched “Les mains en l’air”. Then we entered for some games and we came back home in the afternoon.
