A job shadow experience with Botanicare’s Sheldon Harris By: Melissa Caldie

 Once weekly, corporate members meet for team updates.  “Ah-ha” takeaways from recent events/meetings are reviewed.  Sheldon believes everything can be turned into a positive learning experience; even a mistake.

 “Dig your well before you’re thirsty”  Throw yourself out there, be prepared.  As soon as you know that something needs to be done, do it.  What does success look like?  Different levels  career, personal achievements, financial, family, happiness, etc.  Don’t be guilty of not determining your goals for success.

 “Do less better”  Get the important things done. Prioritize.  Networking  Continuous networking opens many opportunities  Know people in your industries of interest

 Leadership  People see statements ending with “!” are most important for a leader  Intuitive questions are actually most important for a leader
