DH company “Tukuma Siltums”; Municipality has 100% share in company; DH company covers approximately 80% of DH market in town; Main consumers are households (80%) and public buildings; The main branches are wood processing, food, textile industry, machinery; One of the major producers of furnaces/boilers based on local biomass – JSC “Komforts” is operating in Tukums city. Reconstruction of the DH system was initiated in 1999 and proceeds in seven stages; –during the 1st and the 2nd stages the four-pipe heat supply system was eliminated ; –In the 3rd stage a new boiler-house unit was built, and two new biomass- fuelled boilers were installed; –During the 4th and 5th stage a part of network was reconstructed; –During the 6th and 7th stage was reconstruction of network.
