All About Egypt. The capital city of Egypt is Cairo.. The land area of Egypt is 1,010,000 square kilometres.. The average population in Egypt is 76 million.. In Egypt the most commonly used languages are Standard Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, English and French.. The main parts of the economy in Egypt are agriculture, media, petroleum exports, and tourism.

Culture Egypt was among the earliest civilizations. Its culture has been influenced on Europe, the Middle East and the other African countries. Egypt is famous for its many festivals and religious carnivals, they are celebrated by all Egyptians irrespective of creed or religion. Wikipedia.com

History Egyptian history is broken up into 5 different sections. The Prehistory – Prehistory dates back to before the pharaohs and writing. Around 3000BC was when the first dynasty of Egypt began to rule. The Dynastic – The Dynastic was when dynasties started ruling Egypt with Pharaohs and Kings and consists of 9 different periods. The Greco Roman Period – The Greco Roman Period is when Egypt was ruled by Greek Kings and Roman Emperors. The Archaic Islamic Period - The Islamic Period took place after the invasion by the Arabs. The Colonial Period – The colonial period was when Egypt was ruled by different parts of Europe in the 1790's the French Occupation took place.
