P- Philadelphia is nicknamed “City of Brotherly Love” E- Established on March, 4 th 1681 N- New Colony was called “Pennsylvania” N- Not only was Pennsylvania the third biggest colony but it was the richest in the new world S- Seven Kids, William Penn had Y- Young Englishman Penn was a Quaker L- Largest Settlement in Pennsylvania is Philadelphia V- Vegetable and Dairy farms Sprung up everywhere A- Advertised that anybody could come to this land N- No matter what religion you are welcomed I- In England The Quakers were persecuted for their religion A- And that’s why they moved to the new colony, for freedom of Religion
