We are in the South-East part of Europe

…and in the centre of Romania We are a primary school, from Sighisoara (around 500 students, aged 6-14 years old).We are a primary school, from Sighisoara (around 500 students, aged 6-14 years old). Preparations… The preparations for Christmas (Cr ă ciunul) begin with the cleaning. Then we decorate the house, yard and the Christmas tree. Our food consists of meat wrapped in cabbage (Sarmale), two types of cake (Cozonac and Lichiu), a type of sausage (Caltabo ş ), a type of stew (Pomana porcului), pork soup (Sup ă de porc ardeleneasc ă ) and many more.

Then, after Christmas Eve (Ajunul Cr ă ciunului) dinner; children, grandparents and parents are waiting for Santa (Mo ş Cr ă ciun) to come and give presents to all family members. Also children or young men start caroling neighbours, relatives and friends Also children or young men start caroling neighbours, relatives and friends

Children go caroling at Christmas. There is a special carol called Capra (the goat). One or a few carolers dress up as goats and dance.

On Christmas Day… …in the morning we go to church.. We eat together, open the presents, enjoy all the preparations that we made…..visit our neighbours and friends…sing carols…
