There used to be a very large lake in Camp Green Lake, but it is now a dry, flat wasteland and becomes a camp for juvenile delinquents 3 Those juvenile delinquents have to do some labor works such as digging holes in the hot sun, but they also learn many things there like friendship.

These children dig many holes in Camp Green Lake. There are many yellow-spotted lizards on Stanley. 4

Pictures and Relevant Plot One night Stanley begins to write to his mother. At the same time, Zero comes in. After he finds what Stanley is doing, Zero admits that he can't read or write. Therefore, Zero wants Stanley to teach him. Unfortunately, Stanley says that he can't do so, because he is too tired. Because Zero helps Stanley dig holes, Stanley decides to teach Zero how to read. He teaches Zero the alphabets. However, some adults say that it's no use teaching Zero to read for he is too stupid. Zero hits Mr. Pendanski with the shovel and flees away. 5

One More Chapter The product which could eliminates foot odor was so popular with many people who had persecution of foot odor that Stanley’s father invented the other smell of the product came from the flavor of onions except peaches. Even, Stanley’s father invented some useful ways to recycle sneakers after ten years when Stanley got married. The great-great-great-grandson of Elya Yelnats was still named Stanley. When he was fifteen, he was arrested on a charge of stealing goods from the store. He just stood beside the store and was given many goods from a foreigner suddenly, at the same time a police officer came to arrest him and ignored his innocence. He seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. So, his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig- stealing-great-great-great-grandfather was blamed for such a bad destiny again. 9
