What is the proposed idea?  Sakhyam - Collaborative effort of Students, and Parents from Corporate.  It works for youth empowerment of the underprivileged.  It devised to be a two pronged approach for uneducated youth above 18  The beneficiaries are imparted education, training and are placed to earn for life.

Mind Map of Sakhyam – Student led CSR

Why should this idea be implemented ?  Derive Unlimited Happiness – Seeing the life of 40 beneficiaries changing permanently.  Now placed with various Corporate and Enterprises.  The project which we started as a case study became joy for ever for 40 now and more to come in the future…

Innovation in the idea  The entire idea revolves around School students carrying out the CSR project in the School ecosystem and environment.  Beneficiaries - From the School Canteen and other workers.  Execution of Project - Within the school infrastructure and the school labs and class rooms.

Innovation in the idea  Funding -Parents from Corporate and School.  Training – Through school system in off time.  Earning of the beneficiaries - through the school courier.  Placement for the beneficiaries – Organised by students through the parents who are senior functionaries in govt. and corporate.

What is the key driving factor for this idea “ 50% of Indian children aged 6-18 years do not go to school.” “50% of these children land as unskilled workers without a basic quality life.” Our key driving factor is to make these children smile with training, education, empowerment with capacity to earn for life. Source: 7th All India Education Survey, 20027th All India Education Survey, 2002

Who should benefit from this effort?  First year- 40 underprivileged youth are benefitted.  Mantra of Sakhyam - "Earn while you Learn."  The Open Schooling will enable the pursuing of education.  Eventually more and more youth can be engaged in this project.
