 Rocks are found everywhere around us, but do you know what they actually are?  The solid mineral which forms part of the surface of the Earth. Rocks are made up of 2 or more minerals and are mainly classified into 3 main groups, Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic

 Igneous Rocks are formed when hot lava/magma cools down on the Earths surface.  Mt. Rushmore Is a famous example of Igneous Rocks. This Famous structure has the faces of U.S.A presidents craved into a mountain.  Examples: Granite and Basalt

 Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water.
