The First Australians The first Australians were aboriginals. They lived in huts and wore animal fur for clothes. They used there spears to use as weapons for hunting there food like fish, wombats and possums. The adults and parents usually sent there child out to catch food while the mother cooks and the dad makes the spears and tools.

Aboriginal Culture My story is about a lost kangaroo walking around looking for friends. She found a few other women but they wouldn’t let her join them. So she just sat near a river. She was a bit sad so she went home and stayed with her family.

Prediction- I predict that there was a huge ice ball in the middle of space and then it fell on earth and made everything snow. Then it all melted and became water. Also the water was so heavy that the ground started sinking and it made room for flowing rivers. Feelings- I think that the blue tongue lizard thought that they would never find out that he was hiding the water. The rat would have been sad when they said he was too small but when he found the water he would have felt like a hero. All the other animals would have felt a bit ashamed because they didn’t believe Gula and they were quite rude and mean when they said he was too small.. The origin of water

Summarise… One day a blue tongue –lizard called Bangarra, was up to something but the other animals didn’t know what. In this time, there was know rivers or anything so the only way they could get water was to either lick the dew of leaves and grass or eat the kangaroo grass. The bandicoot called Gudjilla, found out that Bangarra was hiding a whole lot of water so everyone wanted to know where it was but Bangarra kept it to himself.. So everyone got together and made a plan. There plan was to get some people to follow him where ever he goes. First they got Gudjilla to go and then jiggirrjiggirr the willy wag tail to go but it didn’t work. They needed someone smaller so they got Midim the ring tailed possom, but Gula the rat said he would go but the others thought he was too small. So later on he snuck out and followed him and he found the water! So he scared Bangarra off and all the other animals got the water.

The origin of water Questions- why didn’t they have any water ? Where did the blue tongue lizard go after he was scared away by the rat? At what times did the blue tongue lizard even drink the water.? Moral: Never doubt a small animal. Treat others how you want to be treated. Include everyone. Every one is different, big or small but everyone is helpful..

18 th Century England In the 18 th century in England, they used carriages and they rode on horses because they didn’t have cars or anything. It would be terrible to be in an orphanage because they treated you terribly. They would give you disgusting foods like vegies in water and you would probably get in trouble if you asked for more, ( because you only got about one bowl of something a day so the children would be starving) you would get in trouble. In that time, children could even get…

the 18 th century England! hanged or whipped if they stole food. You could also easily tell if people were either rich or poor. Rich people had beautiful and great clothes and they would have been at school and have doctors and dentists. On the other hand, the poor people wouldn’t have been at school and they would have ripped and baggy clothes. It would be terrible if you were poor and it would be even worse if you were in jail because they didn’t give you any beds, food or any clothes. There were too many people stealing and everything so the jails had too many prisoners. Eventually they transported the convicts to another country and then they found Australia.

The First Fleet Between 1788 and 1850 the English sent over 162,000 convicts to Australia in 806 ships. The first eleven of these ships are today known as the First Fleet. The names of the ships from the first fleet were… H.M.S Supply, The Alexander, The Golden Grove, The Lady Penrhyn, The Charlotte, The Borrowdale, The Prince of Wales, The Scarborough, The Sirius, The Friendship and The Fishburn. The Alexander was the largest of the transport ships and The Supply was the smallest and it arrived first. The Charlotte had 88 men and 20 female and the friendship carried 76 male and 21 female.

The first fleet Hi, my name is Mary Adams and I’ve been transported for 7 years to a completely different, strange and unknown country on The Lady Penrhyn. I can’t believe I had to go just for stealing something completely useless!! All I stole, was clothing and that’s hardly anything!! The judge said that the value of the clothes was 44 shillings but its pretty obvious it wasn’t worth that much! I don’t think I’ll ever steal again because the old boats were disgusting!!! You seriously should have seen it because it was so yuck! I had to stay in the bottom of the boat where all the rats were and there was also about three dead people there that died from dieses. The food was also terrible because all it was, was mushed up raw vegies in water! Pretty much in the end, everyone was very sick!! I’m telling you, NEVER DO WHAT I DID!!!

Bound for Botany Bay Who is singing this song? The convicts that travelled on the First Fleet are singing this song. Why are they singing it? They are sing this to keep them occupied and they’re also saying kind of a farewell while on a little ride. Why are they saying ‘farewell to Old England forever?’ They are singing it because they think they will never come back to England. Where were they going? Why? The convicts were sent to Botany Bay in Sydney (Australia) because they had done something bad like stealing or murdering.
