The selfish crocodile By : faustin Charles and Michael Terry

The story stream of {The selfish crocodile} the crocodile is selfish and he want the river for himself. crocodile has a toothache The rat goes to the crocodile's mouth and gets the bad tooth. The crocodile is happy and he thanks the mouse. Crocodile happily stayed with friends in the river.

children's book In this story, in which the message is trying to do everything alone is not good. It's better to share and have a lot of friends.

MAIN character : crocodile character traits :He is trying to take the reins himself and is behaving badly, but when he gets sick because of tooth decay-no animals come to help the crocodile. How to [relates to young children : The children like the crocodile's tooth and they think crocodile is cool. That is why the children's sympathize with characters.

text structure-length of sentences, fonts, size of text etc examples : The sentence length is appropriate. there are about two sentences each page. words size is big, about size 24 font. The font size is always the same. The positioning is good.

Literary tools e.g repetition Deep in the forest, in the river, lived a large CROCODILE. He was a very selfish CROCODILE.

alliteration Every day the crocodile lay on his great big back in the sun, picking his big, sharp teeth with a stick.

onomatopoeia There is a little onomatopoeia, for example: GROAN~GROAN because the crocodile is in pain.

Your overall opinion of this book. How well would it appeal to a 5-6 year old child. I think this book is about Friends and friendship. The crocodile behaves badly so he doesn't have friend. one day a mouse help him. The crocodile understands that is better to be nice to people. children will understand this story.
