Dear Reader Letter – Introduce yourself – Include information about what the reader will read in your portfolio. – Explain why you selected certain pieces to be included in your portfolio. – Explain your portfolio title / you will write this last and use proper letter formatting.

15 Original Items (total) – 10 Original Pieces Clean Final copies (typed) Reflection for each – 5 Revised Pieces Clean Final copy (typed) Original graded work (tucked underneath) Reflection for each

6 Pieces by Published Authors – No more than 2 of same genre (songs, poems, excerpts from books, famous speeches, etc.) – MLA format citation at the end of each selection (see bibliographic information sheet I gave you to help with citation) – Typed Reflection (Why did you choose this piece, what do you like about it, etc.)
