GERMANY CONTINUED Peasants war began in Germany (1525) Started because Luther showed peasants how unhappy they were They revolted against the nobility 70, ,000 peasants were killed

ITALY Controlled by Spain (Charles V) Italy was mostly Catholic, but had some Protestants leader of the Catholic Church got together in Northern Italy City of Trent To talk about the corruptions and how to gain more power against the Protestants After the Council of Trent more holy orders were established by the Catholic Church
