The SAEOC Survey Sent out in March 2012 Looking for information about why paid training had dropped off from previous years 125 people responded 6

Survey Themes Quality of EOC Training Effectiveness and Relevance Choice of Provider Future Opportunities 7

Quality of EOC Training 88% said the training was either excellent or very good only 2 respondents said the training was fair, and none said it was poor 88% said the trainers’ presentation skills were either excellent or very good the remaining respondents rated the trainers’ presentations skills as good 8

Effectiveness and Relevance 82% said the training was relevant to their job 86% said the training reinforced or improved their knowledge and skills 79% said they would deal with issues differently as a result of the training 87% said that the training was effective in changing behaviours in their workplace (very small sample) 9

Choice of Provider 57 respondents said they booked training in their workplace 51% of these said they had not used EOC to provide training in the last 3 years, but 67% of these had not engaged in any EO training in the last 3 years of the 49% who had used EOC in last 3 years, 100% would use us again! 10

So what have we learnt? We provide a quality and effective training service But we need to keep it current we need to keep it cost effective we need to try new things we need to keep asking what people want 17
