 One day after detention, Nate was rushing over to his friend Teddy’s house for his first scout meeting. He was going over a bridge when a lady with her dog was walking on the side walk and Nate got tripped by the leash and his skate board went under the railing and in the water.

 When Nate finally got to Teddy’s house the meeting was over. Then suddenly Teddy and Nate’s other friend Francis came charging out the door to Nate to tell him the new member of their scouts. Then Artur comes out the door. Artur is Nate’s arch enemy. Nate was in a bad mood the rest of the day. But, the only good part of it was he got his scout uniform. Nate saw empty spaces on it to fill out new badges.

 The next day after school Nate was walking home with Francis. And Francis said all of the scouts in the neighborhood will sell wall hangers to earn prizes. Nate see’s the prizes and he thought they were really lame untill he got to the grand prize which was a sweet new customized skate board! That made Nate’s day a lot better.

5 Nate’s competition  The next day Nate was walking home with Teddy and Francis. Nate was saying he was going to get the skate board then Francis said his competition was Artur. That made Nate feel rotten inside. Artur always gets what he wants. So Nate set a goal to win the customized skate board at any cause. 5

6 Selling wall hangers  The next day after school Nate was selling wall hangers. Nate has been selling for about 3 hours now and he had only gotten 18 wall hangers. Nate felt very confident about how many he got. Nate did the math and found out he got 118 dollars! Nate thought Artur had no chance against him. 6

7 Nate’s surprise  A few days later Nate, Teddy, and Francis went to a play at their school. When the play was about to start Nate saw Artur across the building selling wall hangers! The rest of the play Nate wasn’t really paying attention to the play he was thinking about the the wall hangers. After the play Nate and his buddies were walking out the building when A piece of paper landed in Nate’s hand. He looked at it and saw how many wall hangers Artur had sold. Nate nearly had a heart attack. When he saw 7
