A new dimension of North Carolina State University’s historical mission: Teaching Research Service

A mixed-use academic village that responds to the University’s faculty, staff and student body, as well as corporate and government affiliates, whose presence add to its vigor and effectiveness.

At present: 1,600 corporate and government employees 1,350 university faculty, staff and post- docs ~ 2,500 university students – College of Engineering relocation in progress 600 middle school students Population

Current Population: 73 NCSU Research Centers, Institutes, Labs & other departmental units, including NCSU Technology Incubator 62 Corporate & Government entities, including: 15 Start ups 11 Small Businesses 12 Major Corporations 10 Government Agencies 11 Nonprofit Agencies 3 Service Companies Each has a relationship with at least one NCSU unit

Number of NC State students engaged with Centennial Campus Companies : >300 Number of faculty involved with Centennial Campus Companies: 274 (to our knowledge)
