Our Mission To provide Civil Air Patrol with aerospace oriented programs and curricula that enhance the leadership and life skills of all cadet members thereby preparing responsible citizens for the USAF and the Nation.
Demographics Traditional: About 24,000 CAP Cadets In over 1,100 local units About 12,000 new cadets join CAP yearly. MSI: About 2,050 inner-city middle schoolers In 53 schools.

Sources of Funding
CAP Cadet Funding Funding for the national cadet program comes from three principle resources: Air Force Appropriated (~$1.4 M) CAP Corporate (~$0.5 M) DDR (~$0.14 M) New: Philanthropy/Fundraising
Air Force Appropriated Dollars The ~$1.40 Million budgeted to CAP’s Cadet program includes: ~$0.45 M for uniforms (giving approximately 4,500 CAP Cadets each year one complete basic blue uniform). ~$0. 25 M for IACE support (CAP provides an additional $0.181 M). ~$0.35 M for orientation flights (CAP also contributes an additional $0.1 M). ~$0.35 M for education materials and encampment support.
