 landscaping happenend between 1993 to 2005  a result of the quarrying of brown coal  major part of the project was to flood the old and abandoned mine ‚Bockwitz‘  one of the biggest nature reserves in Saxony (since 2003)

 there live: 180 bird species 12 amphibian species 4 reptile species 379 plant species & a lot of very rare species mew gull warty newt marsh orchid

 a strongly educated biostructure  with aid of the ecological station Borna – Birkenhain ecological station Borna – Birkenhain ecological station Borna – Birkenhain  up to 20 meters deep  new plans for the lake:  walkingtours with guides  cycle paths  watersport activities

 renaturated:  4 branch streams of the ‚Weiße Elster‘  the ‚Wyhra‘  village ponds  12 parks improved  80 hectare woodland planted
