Powerpoint HPL Course For Cabin Crew Trainers

Why HPL? TGL 44 (formerly known as Section 2 of Subpart O) Administrative and Guidance Material ACJ OPS1.1005/1.1010/ states that: 8.3 Cabin Crew CRM Instructors should: Have suitable experience of commercial air transport as a cabin crew member; and Have received instruction on Human Factors and Performance Limitations (HPL); and Have completed an Introductory CRM Course and the Operators CRM training; and Have received instructions in training skills in order to conduct CRM courses; and Be supervised by suitably qualified CRM instructors when conducting their first CRM training course HPL and facilitation for Cabin Crew Trainers

Pre-Course Study Preparation for the course : To read through the 7 Chapters of CAP 737. Cabin Crew Trainers also advised that at the end of the course they will be examined on their knowledge of :  Unit 2 (Attention, Vigilance, Fatigue, Stress & workload management)  Unit 3 (Information Processing)  Unit 4 (Human Error, Reliability and Error Management  Unit 5 (Situation Awareness)  Unit 6 (Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Decision Making & Managerial Skills)

Pre-Course Study Trainers were advised that they must come prepared to facilitate a 20 minute workshop session to a group of their colleagues on one of the 5 units of CAP 737 Key Points to consider: –The relevance of the subject in the context of easyJet Cabin Crew –What do you want the group to learn from your workshop session? –Materials available is flip chart and pens only.

EU/OPS Legislation Aims: To give Trainers a knowledge of how to access the European Legislation governing Cabin Crew CRM training. To know how to access and to be familiar with CAP 737 as reference source material for CRM.

Facilitation Skills Development Aims: To understand the difference between facilitation and instruction. To know which technique to use in which circumstance. To be able to manage a group facilitation reaching desired objectives in a given time frame.

Workshop Session Aims: To put into practice the HPL knowledge and facilitation skills acquired to date. To understand the need for setting and achieving training objectives. To recognise pitfalls and problem areas. To recognise the need for self analysis and review.

Open Forum & Exam Open forum on existing Cabin Crew CRM courses to share best practice and provide feedback to the CRM Manager 20 question exam paper. Questions about topics relating to CAP 737 Exam and certificate kept on cabin crew trainers training file as a record of qualification

The Benefits….. A significant and tangible improvement in the confidence in the Cabin Crew Trainer team in facilitation, particularly in joint recurrent ground school. These skills are also being used in other subjects to manage discussions between Trainees Cabin Crew CRM is considered a qualification you are proud of and have worked hard to achieve.
