Of the 30 citations/letters sent –1–1 for no yard (took effect August 13 for front yards of homes that were in place the time the ordinance was passed) –5–5 for weeds on existing lots with houses –1–1 for weeds on existing empty lot –2–23 for junk or other nuisances on property Inoperable vehicles Illegal signage Construction yard on empty lot Trailer on empty lot Other junk in yard (broken items, garbage,etc) The new junk ordinance has made it easier to cite
