MRI FLAT PANEL Q&A MRI LED Flat Panels Q - Is the filter system required in addition to the Fixture? A - Yes the filter system is required. There have been many installs without an RF filter on the DC lines and they created no interference, but if there is an inspector overseeing the install you’re better off using the filter. Because the install is requiring you to group together the common power wires, you will be able to use a preexisting filter. If there isn’t a preexisting filter, then the appropriate RF filter rated for DC @80 watts will suffice per panel. We do not sell filters, you will need to go through a third party. Q - How far away can the PS be mounted from the fixtures? A - The standard extension cord is 30 feet. This cord can be extended up to 75 feet with the same gage or greater wire.
