ENGLISH COURSE (May 2012)

 English course was held in May 2012 in the following days: 9/05 – 11/05 – 15/05 – 16/05 – 18/05 – 22/05 – 23/05 and 25/05 for a total of 24 hours  Recruitment was done through organisations working with migrants and refugees.  The course followed the topics developed within the project, but was adapted to participants’ level of knowledge of English (from beginner to elementary).

Attendance  Attendance was variable from 6/10 people each lesson.  The percentage of male/female was 50%/50%  Age was between 28 and 45  Nationalities present were: Spanish, Romanian, Italian, Azerbaijani and Somali

Seminar evaluation:  Recruitment was difficult for various reasons (timetable not suitable for some learners, no possibility to offer childcare, parents doing full time jobs, etc.).  In general parents found the courses very good and all of them showed interest in continuing studying the language.  We had some dropouts midway through the course due to personal reasons.
