11 Chapter Event/Ride Schedule The Chapter Director prepares an event schedule (ride schedule) and submits, at least monthly, to its members and the District Chapter Of The Year Coordinator. The event schedule can be a monthly or an annual “running” schedule.

12 Recruitment & Retention This section recognizes the recruitment and retention efforts of the entire chapter. Points are bestowed for recruiting new members and persistent efforts in retaining existing members (e.g. membership recruitment initiatives / campaigns, member outreach programs, etc.)

13 Rider Education Number of chapter members enrolled, as a percentage of total members, in the Levels Program at the end of each calendar year. The Chapter as a whole participates in a Parking Lot Practice (PLP) Exercise during the current year.

15 Leadership Training  The Chapter Director and/or Assistant Chapter Director attends Leadership Training Program  Copy of Completion Certificate or LTD Training Card  Horizons, Mentor, and Instructor Programs:  1 Point per Program (not individual seminars)  Individual Seminars  Member Orientation  Life Skills  Chapter Life  Chapter Leadership Skills  Intermediate Leadership Skills  Advance Leadership Skills  Submit Copy of Completion Record in any year 1 Point Per Seminar

Chapters that have a website containing the minimum required information prior to the end of the current year ( 2 Points )  The GWRRA Logo & words “Gold Wing Road Riders Association” or the acronym “GWRRA” should be included as part of the page  Region, District, Chapter designations, plus city and will serve to identify the webpage for those visiting the site  A link to the National Home Page & link to the District and Region webpages would be beneficial for the visitor  Extra VA District Competition Points are awarded if the above criteria are met AND for at least three consecutive months ( 1/2 Point Each ):  Posts an Annual Calendar of events, gatherings, rides, education, charity rides, support to other GWRRA events, etc.  Posts Next Social Gathering, time, date, place, special activities at that gathering, and point of contact information. 16 Chapter Web Page

Examples: Charitable rides or donations, Chapter awards received during the year, Guest speakers at chapter gatherings, Fun activities including campouts, festive parties, holiday parties, Chapter visitations, Bike shows, Cruise-ins, chapter representation at other, non-VA District, GWRRA rallies, etc. –VA District Points: Attending each VA District rally, i.e., Rally In The Valley™ and Wingless Weekend; submit percentage of chapter members attending +3 points each VA District rally  Don’t be modest – We want to know all the great activities the chapter accomplished 17 Extraordinary Chapter Events or Activities
