Injury Reduction – Zero Injuries  BNL, DOE and Physics Department Goal  Who is Responsible for Reducing Injuries? Each of us – our own personal safety All of us – look out for conditions that may impact others  Largest Contributing Factor to Injuries? Belief that you can’t or won’t be hurt  What Can You Do? Before each activity, ask yourself - What personal protective equipment (PPE) should I use? - What is the worst thing that can go wrong? - What is the most likely injury while doing this job? - What have I done to prevent the above from happening? - Proper PPE? Following procedures? Attitude/alertness? - Is there a better or safer way to do this? - If there is tell someone – feedback!
