How to Survive a Stats 300 Exam What - me worry?

Quick Overview… Exam will consist of 5 multi-part questions Make sure you review the conclusion section of each lecture – if you can do the questions and know the terms you are ready for the exam Bring a calculator Practice finding means, medians, 5-number summaries, z-scores, standard deviations Know how to read a regression line and identify the model implied by that Understand how to form a residual and residual plot

What can you bring? Calculator (graphing would be of no real advantage) A small index card with formulas only (I will inspect them!)

Final Tips… Arrive 10 minutes early Leave all books, bags, packs, laptops etc at the front of the classroom Budget your time wisely – no more than 10 minutes/question If you are stumped on a question – move on!
