SERVICE RIFLE MOUNTING PROCEDURES

M16A2 MOUNTING PROCEDURES

ZEROING PROCEDURES Zero Preset. The AN/PEQ-2A incorporates a unique zero preset feature which enables the aiming and illumination beams to be nearly zeroed when the AN/PEQ-2A is initially attached to the weapon.

ZEROING ON A 25 METER RANGE This procedure is used to zero the TPIAL to the weapons using live fire. Confirm that equipment is tight prior to zeroing. Each adjuster click moves the strike point one square on the 25 meter zeroing target.

ZEROING USING THE LASER BORESIGHT Boresight targets are included with the laser borelight system.
