Commitment to Education The quality of education ranks as a high personal priority for IBM employees around the world Make a difference – IBM’s goal is to support the most effective education that will produce the highest level of student achievement

Employees’ empowerment IBM employees support organizations in the communities in which they live and work IBM supports employees who volunteer their personal time to community projects

Volunteering activities empower employees by Making them feel better and prouder of their working place Giving them the opportunity to express themselves in other areas

Community Relations Short-term projects focused endeavors of individual and anonymous contribution to lower income families Long-term projects Use our most valuable resources – our researchers, staff, and facilities – to offer advanced opportunities in education

2009 e- Week events Encourage school students to pursue studies in technology and science 1,252 of middle school students heard presentations by IBM scientists about the engineering profession In several large-scale events on IBM premises 87 volunteers participated in the program

Example II - E.X.I.T.E summer camp The EXITE (EXploring Interests in Technology and Engineering) camps are week-long, summer day camps for girls Showcase career opportunities in technology and engineering Introduce to female role models Give hands-on experiences in technical activities that are fun, challenging and educational Encourage diversity

Example III - Technoda Took part in the “Young Inventors Competition” in the Technoda, by presenting innovative technologies developed in our labs: Car Simulation, Social networking, XBOX and Playstation3
