Boroughs and their history

Castrocaro, its spa Castrocaro has a big thermal complex. This spa is very famous not only in this beautiful town, but in every part of Romagna because the regional radio stations have produced some radio spots so now Castrocaro is famous not only for its spa, but also for its swimming-pool, happy hours and its Grand Hotel.

And its castle Castrocaro’s castle is on top of a mountain. It was built in the twelfth century. There are some parties too, there are some exhibitions of falconry and historical festivals.

Terra del sole Terra Del Sole is a small country village next to Castrocaro. There is a big wall. Inside it there is the Palace of the Captain of the Square and obviously a big square. There is a church, a bar, a kindergarten for baby children and our school. In Terra del Sole there are two small quarters, Romano and Fiorentino: every year they have a competition to win the famous “PALIO OF SANTA REPARATA (the patron of its church)” with crossbows. On this occasion there are some exhibitions of fly flags, tug of war, medieval fashion show and swordsmen.

Pieve Salutare It is a small village 2 kilometers far from Castrocaro. They organise some summer camps, parties and festivals. Its name derives from its small church (pieve in Italian literary style).
