Tropical Rainforest By-Maria Sandri

Description The rainforest has many tall trees. Also it’s very hot and humid. There are lots of plants like flowers, ivy, trees, and of course grass.

Climate and Temperature The climate of the rainforest is hot, humid, and rainy. Also due to constant rain fall it’s wet. The temperature almost never changes. Most likely it will be around 70-80 degrees.

Precipitation It rains a lot in the rainforest. The average amount of rain fall is 80-400 in. a year.

Biotic Ten biotic or living things in my biome are trees, fungi, flowers, frogs, leaves, birds, berries, tigers, algae, and grass. These are just some of the living things in the rainforest.

Abiotic Ten abiotic things in my biome are soil, rocks, rivers, streams, logs, sun, clouds, air, fossils, and mud. These are just some of the non-living things in the rainforest.

Animals Five animals commonly found in the rainforest are birds, tigers, monkeys, lizards, and sloths. There are many more but, to many to name.

Plants Five plants commonly found in the rainforest are grass, orchids, ferns, moss, and ivy. There are many more but to many to name.

Facts Some interesting facts about the rainforest are it can rain 2in. In an hour. There are about 10-20 species of trees in the rainforest. Also it’s home to half of the worlds plants and animals. Rainforest trees have thin smooth bark. Many rainforests provide us with vanilla, ginger, and nutmeg.

Human Impact Humans have a very negative impact on the rainforest. We clear out many trees for timber and minerals. This Is a negative impact humans have on many rainforests.

Interaction In the rainforest biotic things and abiotic interact. Ways the biotic things with abiotic things are they eat, build with, make shelter with, or even drink them. These are some ways they interact.
