Parliamentary Democracies How? Power comes from people; elect legislature, which picks leader (prime minister) Used? To maximize good for the people to get reelected Justified? Power justified because it came from the people Who? Ex: PM; Leg: Parl.; Jud: Courts Characteristics? Elections. Free press. Debate.

Constitutional Monarchy How? Title from birth, but power from laws Used? However the monarch wants, in line with the law Justified? By birthright Who? King or queen Characteristics? Some personal freedoms, depending on strength of law
