ESSAY Questions 300 words Each Explain the reasons for drug use in sport. (c-a) Describe the consequences of drug use (refer to Health, wellbeing and role modeling). (c-a) Describe possible solutions. (c-a)

How you will be assessed Giving a brief example and explanation will be C level Giving a good explanation and examples will be B level Giving a detailed explanation, examples but also critically evaluating the evidence will be A Level

How will you be able to answer the questions Using the your knowledge from GCSE PE Using, books, newspapers, magazines (2012 an olympic year should be plenty!) Websites and also youtube clips (this is the BIGGEST part of research). Remember the examples and to critically evaluate.

SKILLS Selecting appropriate (sport) websites. ‘Skim’ reading before printing. Planning what area you want to research and not being distracted. Using a sheet to plan answers. If you are not sure what a word means ‘Synthesis’ look it up. Don’t guess!
