CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS: Describe the physical processes that affect the environment. Examine the physical processes that affect the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. Describe the characteristics of different landforms and the physical processes that cause their development. Learning Goal 2: By reading, writing, speaking, describe how internal and external physical processes create landforms and shape patterns in the physical environment.

Task: Directions: Students will be working in groups of 2-3. Each group will be assigned 1 of 11 words. On an 8x11 sheet of paper, students will, using their laptops, include the following in a visually appealing way: The word The definition 2 geographic examples of your word with name. Be able to explain (ex. Grand Canyon, Indus River Basin) How is your word impacting the world today (currently And a visual of the word

Task: Directions Continued: Students will have 30 minutes to complete their poster. Students will then present to the class in a brief 1 minute presentation the material they have discovered. (aprox. 45 mins.) Students will be recording the word, definition and examples as each group presents, in their notebooks. As a class we will decide if the word is an internal process or external process Students will add the left column questions for homework. Minimum 5?’s
