pagedatoForfatter - Titel2 How to help NC in working towards network for the future  Based on dialogue with the Danish NC and Danish DNO’s and the Chairmen in the NRCC (all countries with many small DNO an few large)  Cigré has an image of ”transmission only”  I think we need a stronger signal from AC to the NC’s  Klaus Fröhlichs presentation shown in Perth would be a good baseline for the discussion in AC  Cigré need to clarify what we want with the agreement with CIRED  Discussion on Forum for National Committees in august 2012  We need a overview on actual activities (WG’s) related to Network for the future  2 page ”sales flyer” (Could Central office help)  Benefits from participating in WG’s (Description from the TC website)  Selected results from recent WG’s

pagedatoForfatter - Titel5 CIRED 2011 conference  Session 1 Network Components  Asset management,  Innovative network components and solutions for SG,  Evolution of standards….,  Trends i Network components for substations  Session 2: POWER QUALITY AND EMC  ”Electromagnetic interference, electric and magnetic fields and grounding systems”  Steady-state disturbances,  Disturbing events,  Power Quality in a competitive market  Session 3: Operation, control and protection  Operation  Control and automation  Protection, (SG and dispersed generation)

pagedatoForfatter - Titel6 Session 4 -6 main topic  Session 4: Distributed Energy resources & efficient utilisation of electricity  DG/DER planning and studies  Control of networks with DG/DER  Customer-side developments  DG/DER Technology  Session 5: Planning and system development  Asset management  Network development  Planning  New tools for modelling  Session 6: Distributions Business and impact of regulation  Smart Grid and regulation  Smart Metering  Demand response  ICT and other topic

pagedatoForfatter - Titel7 Cigre participation on next CIRED conference (Stockholm 2013)  There have been a dialogue with the President and TC Chairman  It’s seems like there is a little resistance or concerns on having Cigré exposed on the Cigré conference  There is an opening on making a joint Roundtable session between Cired and Cigré – CIRED TC are discussing that on at meeting in this week.   My proposal for Cigré contributions to at Joint roundtable  Cigré contribution on a Component related topic  Cigré contribution on Network for the future  CIRED 1  CIRED 2  Maybe to close with announcing a joint WG?

pagedatoForfatter - Titel9 Action plan for implementing Network on the future TC project  Given the tree work areas  Large networks (super grid ect.) – Cigré is probably the most obvious organisation to work with that area  Small Networks – No clear definition, Does other SC’s than C6 really cover that topic?  Better utilization of existing assets on all voltage levels – Cigré has the knowledge on Transmission components. But what about components for “small networks”?   Lets make a short overview of (Based on the Excel sheet from the SC chairmen)  Overview of running WG related to Network for the Future  Mapping of activities related to: TI1 to TI10 input from all SC’s

pagedatoForfatter - Titel10 Action plan for implementing Network on the future TC project  Need for visibility  Can we make Cigré and TC activities visible in the Smart Grid Community?  Selection of a few Cigre’ key findings to be promoted – To make Cigre visible in the Smart Grid Community  Discussion issue:  Should ”small network” and “distribution voltage components” issues generally be included in new WG’s in all SC’s?  Should each SC’s try to identify specific WG’s for ”Small Network” or “distribution voltage components” issues?
