Hidden Talents “Good mental health at work results in a more contented workforce leading to a higher retention level of staff and better performance.”

Economic & Social Cost One in 7 visits to a GP are about mental health issues. One in six employees (5,000,000 workers at any time) are currently experiencing mental illness. More working days are lost due to stress, anxiety and depression than for any other illness:- Lost production - £30 billion p.a. Total costs - £105 billion

Just ask yourself….  Could we be adding to or creating a problem within our workplace?  How can we become a more mentally healthy workplace? No one needs to be an expert in mental health, to have a “mentally healthy” workplace. Being able to talk about mental health at work will quickly reveal an understanding & knowledge that is already present – your Hidden Talents!

Our 8 Point Action Plan  How are you? Be aware of “change” in you/your staff  Take breaks for you and your staff  Listen and try not to pre- judge.  Avoid cliches  Have regular one to one meetings. Give praise.  Be you – talk about usual things as well.  Be informed – find out about mental illness  Ask what’s needed Simple steps you can take, to make a difference
