Michael Faraday was born on 22 nd September 1791 He was the youngest out of 4 children His mother was called Margaret and his father was called James He came from a very poor but religious family He died on 25 th august 1867 aged 75

Michael Faraday’s wife Michael Faraday’s wife was called Sarah Barnard She was born on 7 th January 1800 Sarah’s parents were Edward Barnard and Mary Boosey Michael Faraday and Sarah Barnard got married on 12 th June 1821 They didn’t have any children though Sarah died on 6 th January 1879

Michael Faraday’s work Michael Faraday was a English physicist and chemist whose many experiments contributed greatly to the understanding of electromagnetism. Faraday, who became one of the greatest scientists of the 19 th century, began his career as a chemist.
Michael Faraday’s work Many consider him the greatest experimentalist who ever lived. He started his work in a bookshop when he was only 14 years old. The person who owned the bookshop was called Humphry Davy and he also learned him chemistry.
Interesting Facts The government recognized his science and gave him a house in Hampton court. In 1853 he refused to help develop poison gases to be used in Crimean war He received only a basic education in a church Sunday school
