 Major part in helping build your strength  Provides food energy  2 types: Simple (sugars), Complex (Starches)  Should make up 60% of diet  Has about 4 calories per gram  Stored in liver, muscles when in called glycogen  Sources: Bread, Pasta, Wines, Candy, Beer, etc

 Helps to heal any injuries  Creates antibodies to fight infections  The body can uses protein for energy  The body needs many different proteins like:  -Egg protein  -Casein protein  -Whey protein  A part of every cell in the body  Delivers oxygen to blood cells  Sources: meats, Beans, Vegetables etc

 Transport oxygen to every cell  Without it nothing in your body will work  2 types of fats: Good fats, Bad fats  Good fats can prevent cancer  Bad fats can cause cancer  Normal fat intake is 25-35% per day  Can be solid or liquid at room temp.  Sources: Pigs, Beef, chicken, lamb etc..

 Helps unblock blocked bowels  2 types: soluble (carrageen), insoluble (cellulose)  Can’t be broken down  Carbs that are indigestible  Without causes more heart attacks  Sources: peas, oats, all bran, bananas etc..
