What We Do: The Crossroads Crochet Club exists to give students the opportunity to learn a craft and work with their hands to create something original.

What is Crochet? Crochet is NOT knitting! Crochet is the construction of various objects using yarn, string, thread, sisal, and other fibers. Crochet is a series of loops made using a crochet hook.

What Does the Club Do? In the school year, we crocheted a blanket to raffle off for Relay for Life!

Relay for Life Afghan

What Does the Club Do? Last year, we entered the Festival of Trees at R. T. Jones Memorial Library. Our theme was “Giving Warms the Heart.” We all worked together to crochet scarves and toboggans which were then donated to M.U.S.T. Ministries.

What Does the Club Do?

This year, each student is crocheting a small baby blanket that will be donated to the Cherokee County Women’s Shelter.

When Does the Club Meet? We meet every Thursday during 1 st High School Lunch in Mrs. Mitchell’s room. [Trailers, P8A] You do not have to know how to crochet in order to join – we’ll teach you!
