Inquiry Project How to Crochet Presented by Karen Potter

Step 1 Find a website on how to crochet. I learned from this website that there are many different sizes of crochet hooks and different types of threads that can be used.

Step 2. – Decide on what type of thread or yarn you are going to use to start your lesson. Through the reading of the article I learned that wool yarn was the best one for beginners. – So once I had made this decision on the type of yarn then I went to Walmart and decided on the color.

Step 3 Find a you tube video or a video to watch step by step on how to crochet. It took me several hours to finally find the website that I could follow the steps with ease. rochet+Tutorial&Form=VQFRVP#view=detail&m id=9BB EF0B9E78E39BB EF0B9 E78E3 This website taught me the basic steps on how to crochet and all the different type of knots.

This is what my first attempt looked like. I have been able to figure out the single chain but am still learning on how to do more than that.

The website that I have chosen to learn how to do make a blanket using granny squares: The granny square you see on this slide is my first one. I will keep making more as I want to finish a blanket.
