Course outlines: Introduction, Update of solid state Physics Physics at surfaces: Overview of physical and chemical properties that change when the materials considered are a few nanometres in Size Discussion of different nanostructure fabrication methods Introduction to nano-scale materials imaging techniques: Physical principle and operation. Non-magnetic materials- types – Application Introduction to superconductivity- Super conductivity in nano-scale Organic nano-layers: chemical and preparation, application in surface chemistry and biological probe Quantum dot and electron transfer in nano-tubes
