Paul Mundy 1 Double-click on any graphic in the presentation 2 Select the Picture tab. 3 Click on Compress
Paul Mundy 4 Select the All pictures in document and Web/screen radio buttons. 5 Make sure that Compress pictures and Delete cropped areas of pictures are checked. Then click OK.
Paul Mundy 6 On the main menu, click File then Save as, and save the presentation Check the file size to see how much it has shrunk.
Paul Mundy If that does not work, you may have to compress each image manually 1 Open the presentation in PowerPoint and double-click on a photo you suspect is still too big
Paul Mundy 2 Select the Size tab and check the Scale information. This shows how large the original picture is If the Scale is small (e.g., 32%), the compression did not work
Paul Mundy 3 Click Cancel… then right-click on the photo and select Copy
Paul Mundy 4 On the main menu, select Edit > Paste Special
Paul Mundy 5 Select Picture (JPEG) and click OK 7 Select File > Save as… > Save 6 Delete the original picture and replace it with the one you have just pasted
