Research a career that you are thinking about doing when you are older. You need to find out an average salary (pay for the year) for that job. Work out the monthly pay from this (show your working out). You will then need to decide what type of lifestyle you would like to live. You need to buy a house and food but everything else is optional. Remember to think about your happiness. Would you be happy if you have spent all your money at the end of every month? What would you do if something unexpected happened and you had to pay out a lot of money? Pick at least 2 other things that you would like to buy. Work out how much you spend every month. Work out how much you have left over at the end of the month. All prices given are per month.
