1 st Emmbrook Scout Group Summary for the year ending 31 st March 2011 Sections: The Group Executive Committee are pleased to note that the Accounts reflect the strong attendance of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts within the Group. Subscription rates have remained flat and generated an income of £7,349 (2010: £7,409). Activity income is also flat at £7,255 (2010: £7,212). The spend by each Beaver, Cub and Scout on activities was £176 per person which is the same as The programme offered by all the Leaders resulted in a net surplus of +£940 (2010: Net Shortfall -£2,056). Group Income: Fundraising activities generated income of £1,549 up 237% (2010: £653). The Summer BBQ contributed £191. The Winter Carnival Mulled Wine and Auction made a combined £909 up 127% (2010: £718). The Race Night brought in £107 (2010: 353). A new event this year was our support of the Rotary Club’s cycle race for which we received a £300 donation (2010: nil). Another new event was income from easyfundraising.org.uk which generated £42. Donations were also received from Panasonic of £828 (2010:nil) towards camping stoves equipment. Group Expenditure: Transport costs reduced to £273 (2010: £619) due to not having Beavers stranded in the snow, and equipment spend increased to £1,298 (2010: £610) reflecting the donation received towards camping stoves. The Group’s commitment to maintaining a suitable HQ is reflected in a spend of £1,170 (2010: £613). Balance Sheet: Cash balance increased to £18,974 (2010: £17,270).
