Abstract During this study, we researched four different disorders. We looked at all of the different symptoms, causes, etc. The topics that were researched were cerebral palsy, polio, meningitis, and stroke. We discussed the similarities and differences between the four disorders and discovered they are quite alike and different in many ways. Introduction Research Cerebral Palsy is a disorder of movement and it’s caused by injuries or abnormalities of the brain. The problems usually happen while the baby is still in the womb or the first 2 years of life, while the brain is still developing. Premature infants have a slightly higher risk of developing cerebral palsy. Some symptoms of this disorder are stiff muscles, lack of muscle coordination, difficulty eating and walking, and difficulty speaking. It’s caused by many different things such as lack of oxygen being delivered to the brain or a traumatic head injury, like from a motor vehicle accident, fall or child abuse. It is highly recommended to use the largest images you have access to for your poster. Avoid images downloaded from the web and avoid copying and pasting images instead of using the “Insert” command. To insert an image to your poster go to INSERT>PICTURE>FROM FILE (Figure 7). (Figure 7) When the only source of a needed photo or graphic is the Web, scaling has to be applied with caution. Scaling an image more than three times its original size may introduce pixelization artifacts. Refer to (Figure 10) as an example. A simple way to preview the printing quality of an image is to zoom in at 100% or 200%, depending on the final size of the poster. What you’ll see is likely what you’ll get at printing time. To import charts and graphs from Excel, Word or other applications, go to EDIT>COPY, copy your chart and come back to PowerPoint. Go to EDIT>PASTE and paste the chart on the poster. You can scale your charts and tables proportionally by holding down the Shift key and dragging in or out one of the corners. Also a symptom of Stroke is trouble with walking. Lastly, a symptom of Polio is muscle spasms or tenderness. Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Polio and Meningitis are also similar in many ways. All of the disorders have symptoms dealing with fever, inability to move muscles easily, and confusion.
