Blog Continued… My blog is updated almost every school day; however, if the Internet is down or if I am out of school, then it might not be updated. I do post important reminders and due dates, and occasionally there is homework help. Also, I have the syllabus for the grading period and the online textbook directions linked for your convenience.

Online Textbook Go to website: Type in user name: vandrisse1 Type in password: math Click “Log In” Click on “Go to the Online Textbook”

Online Textbook Continued… At the top of the page “Select a Chapter” from the drop down menu To the right of chapter selection “Select a Lesson or Activity” from the drop down menu Click the red “Go!” button

Homework Policies Homework helps reinforce the concepts taught in class. After the first nine weeks homework must be completed by the due date to earn credit. Homework will be given almost every night and must be completed in pencil to earn credit. Homework is sometimes graded as an accuracy grade, sometimes as a completion grade, but most of the time it is a combination of accuracy and completion.

Pinnacle I try to make sure grades are updated weekly. Please check Pinnacle frequently (or have your child check) to make sure you know how your child is progressing in class. I try to post a comment if a student has to make up an assignment due to an absence or if an assignment was partially completed.

Grade Categories Tests & Projects = 40% Projects are accepted one day late for 80% credit & two days late for 70% credit. Classwork Activities & Tasks= 25% Quizzes = 25% Homework = 10% Not accepted late unless the student was absent & not accepted in anything other than PENCIL.

Contact Information If you want to contact me, is preferred, but phone messages will also be returned. Please realize it will take longer to return phone messages. address: Voic (678) 331 – 8131 Ext. 462
